With the rain having plagued London for the past few days, one can’t help but long for sunny days.

Barely two weeks ago I flew to Rhodes on a private jet where we were taken onboard the Talitha which was lying in the shadow of the Crusader Castle and she sped us over the grape blue sea to the coast of Turkey where for 10 days we lay in golden sunlight and silver starlight with my closet friends Candida and Rupert Lycett Green and Jane Ormsby Gore and our ravishing brilliant hostess Lady Getty. On a tiny island we found an almost undiscovered ruin with fragments Byzantine and Roman architecture lying higeldy piggedly among rocks and olive trees.

We went back that evening to watch the sun going down through the arch and the full moon coming up on the other side of the axis.

It was heavenly.
