Here we go, talking fashion, interiors and dresses again…

I do wish more designers would channel their inner architect like Oliva Rubin did for one of my favorite dresses, executed in ‘brick’. I wore it to the recent Cartier Polo match and it looked superb against our Russian Revolutionary décor which we executed in vivid blues, blacks and whites.

I have to confess I sometimes think of my clients’ décor when getting dressed in the morning and choose to suit. Slightly worrying isn’t it?

If I had a dream couturier at my disposal it would be de Chirico. Don’t miss his costumes at the V&A’s Diaghilev exhibition right now. He certainly knew how to work a Doric column.

    Gorgeous!

Funny-I think of our interiors (or exteriors) and sometimes dress accordingly when I am working on my photographic self-portraits :)

BB - thats incredibly reassuring, im in good company. xc

  3. I also dress to coordinate with a room for a party or showhouse opening. Why not have fun?

And I love the de Chirico pictures. Do you know if the exhibit will be in the US at all?

  4. It is not worrying at all, it is rather cool and must be very helpful. We ALL dress the part and the state of mind, why not the job?)) (I put on wild violet tights for an interview with you, so go figure!)))

i dont know - and dont know how to find out….do you get many exhibitions travelling from the V&A? great question…sorry i dont have an answer but i’ll ask around. xc (ps - they also had those de Chirico costumes on display during the Surrealist exhibition (called Surreal Things - it was great!) and i’ve just pulled the book off the shelf and confirmed they are owned by the V&A. I’ll let you know if i discover any more. xcolette
