Philip Green you little devil….have you been reading our blog?? I realized I have to do these Kismet posts every now and again. Hot on the tails of our Schiaparelli post hasn’t Topshop filled the Oxford Street store with vignettes of newsprint rooms, furniture, tea sets and architecture!
Newsprint tights would be pretty hot…has anyone done this??
He must have read our pink post too as I see he’s used some Financial Times pages.
This I do think is clever…I know they make houses out of straw bales in California (very green)…perhaps its could be done with newspaper bundles and plaster. Tres chic.

NIcki-
The newsprint visual display is graphic, witty, eco…and definitely cheap chic, no?
For a wild moment there, I though we might be treated to NH modeling the latest in men’s TOP SHOP…so here’s a hint for next time. cheers from California, DIANE http://www.thestylesaloniste.com/
It is a super cool idea. One problem: the ink can be very allergy provoking/toxic.
I could do a full out space, large even, with MAGAZINES. pgt
46 years ago I was covering my school books with the classifieds or the New Yorker and now, inspired by Topshop, I’m heading home with some glue and newspapers to attack a few sad objects for which a coat of chalky or gloss white paint is not sufficient transformation. I am so grateful to Nicky for his favourite saying on FB (“Let’s just paint it white”) which got me moving from a morass of indecision. From that I have moved to simply surrender my life to his and Colette’s universe of ideas and beauty.
oh LM - how wonderful..and flattering too. xx
