Beaton knew only too well, the allure of a haze of gauze, which was surely why he used it enticingly in his photographs of Aldous Huxley with his beguiling barely there smile.
Personally, I am too easily enticed by it. I wear it, decorate with it, dream about it…gauze that is…well maybe Huxley too but that’s another story.
One sweep and everything enchants.
And yes, I’ve done this many times. Once almost burnt the house down, and in fact Nicky DID set one ablaze once.
It worked for Miss Havisham…
SO SO pretty by Galliano…
Ripped is ever better, especially London style…(the girls here often sport holes in their tights)
Bronze…well even better!
And more is better still…
Because less just ISN”T more when it comes to gauze…
Unless it’s Autumn de Wilde behind the lens.

Lovely, the ethereal quality romantic and edgy at the same time!
how gorgeous!
The look of gauze is so enticing and ethereal. Interesting that you had the image of Huxley first Colette. I have Brave New World in my bookcase always!

Just gauze.
85% of the world wouldn’t know one from another. Sad, isn’t it.
