Just back from a delicious lunch at Richard Carings new restaurant ‘34’…where Nicky and I were delighted to see the chicest toothpicks imaginable.
Wrapped in New Mown Green paper, these gems are individually wrapped, and the ends are colour dipped to match!!!! Whoo hoo!!!

Very elegant, but … they’re toothpicks. Somehow I can’t see you and Nicky picking your teeth in public.

Tish, you know - toothpicks are on the grandest tables in England…from ’34′ to Lady this and Lady that…but no - i dont, but yes - i did pocket these and bring them home. The very finest i ever sat in front of were made from porcupine quills and were in little silver lateral dispensers at each place setting. I did ask my hostess where she got them, but alas its not forgotten. x
