We are very excited to see our fabrics scattered all around Chelsea Harbour this week…

The Design Center asked if they could cover their ‘egg’ stools with our Shutter Stripe fabric for Design Week, and how could we possibly say no?

Our collection is sold exclusively through Turnell & Gigon in the UK, and they have had an armchair covered in our Seafern design in Clouded Lilac for their showroom window.

We love how they have done the self-piping perpendicular to the fabric, and it would look amazing on the diagonal too.

To her surprise, Molly spotted this chair covered in Winter Wheat and Seafern in the window of Pimpernel and Partners on her way home from work last week. It turns out the shop owner had been given the fabrics after Country Living Magazine had used them for a shoot!

Last Thursday I went to the opening of ‘Hanging Out’ photographs by the wonderful Carinthia West. She has managed to keep them under wraps from the admiring public even though we all knew she had been taking them since the 60′s. They are utterly wonderful, informal, moving and very personal even though they are of such public figures.

Bob Geldof and Jesse Wood were there and Liz Earle sponsored the evening and did goodie bags. Rose Prince put on the most delicious food.

In the late 1980′s Haslam founded his London-based architectural and design firm, NH Design. The firm is established as one of the most important luxury interior design offices in the United Kingdom, known for high-end design, bespoke furnishings and a style that is ever changing with the times, yet always distinguishable for its humour, charm and wit - much like Haslam himself. Under his guidance, his creative team combines a unique sense of history with a modern contemporary outlook and the firm works on projects all over the globe including the English countryside and London, New York, Morocco, New Orleans, Denmark, Montreal, Barbados, St Jean Cap Ferrat, Monaco and Moscow, Klosters, Grasse, Mallorca, Los Angeles and Paris.

She Lay down…

Well she also lay down in the forest…which for all intensive purposes looked ever-so-much like the sea…

and this summer especially found it replete with coral looking fungi…

Well I know there’s a decorating project in here somewhere. So lets don our best Bob Dylan chapeau and off we go…

It’s my Bajan friend who points out….’everything here looks like the sea!!’

and the more I look - the truer it becomes.

The pekes want to know ‘what IS all this all this divine smelling stuff!’

And in the end it’s a handsome collection of conch fungi….the type we used to carve as children. Now that brings back memories.
