Tune in to BBC FOUR at 22:45 this Saturday to watch Nicky Haslam with Kate Moss, Bryan Ferry, Naomi Campbell, Goldie Hawn and Anna Wintour in A String of Naked Lightbulbs.
An unseen glimpse into the rarefied worlds behind the doors of Annabel’s.
This Wednesday we launch our first collection with OKA (click here for you transatlantic readers who may not be so familiar with the company!). This venture is largely to be blamed for our blog going a bit dormant of late…. we have had all hands busy putting our very best ideas and efforts into this collaboration of furniture, fabric, and accessories. Predominantly inspired by pieces from Nicky’s private collections, and especially those treasures have all perused, ever-so-slightly green eyed, in his latest book Folly de Grandeur, this is a personal and emotionally driven collaboration.

Canadian filmmaker par excellence Douglas Arrowsmith, who directed my two music videos, Total Control and Illusions both currently racking up hits on Youtube. He has been awarded the 2013 Canadian Screen award for Best Direction in a Performing Arts Program for his feature film “Love Shines” on the cult singer/songwriter Ron Sexsmith, who is greatly admired by no less an authority than Jules Holland. “Love Shines” was recently broadcast in the UK on BBC for to great acclaim. As if that award wasn’t already pretty impressive, Doug topped it by winning the 2013 Canadian Screen Award for Best Arts Documentary. He will be back in this country in ten days to direct my next music video, ‘Real Live Girl’, another of the songs on my forthcoming album ‘Midnight Matinee’. Produced by David Ogilvy, this features other songs by such legends as Cole Porter and Irving Berlin, all given a rock twist by David, plus a new one by song-supremo Guy Chambers, on which I duet with the amazing Helena Bonham Carter, one of the many stars that sing with me on the album.
