including Dominic Dunne, while also designing rooms and parties
for clients, among them Natalie Wood.
Nicky Haslam returned to London in 1972, having been asked to
design and decorate a townhouse for Lord Hesketh. This led to

fully-fledged architectural and design practice, NH Design, of
which diverse clients have included, among many, Rod Stewart,
Rupert Everett, Bryan Ferry, Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach, a restaurant
in the King's Road and a nightclub in the Dorchester Hotel, salons
for the dress designer Bellville-Sassoon and the Emanuels when

houses, while currently working on sites in Moscow, Klosters,
France, London and the country.
Nicky Haslam has recently published a book of his work entitled
"Sheer Opulence", and a second book is in the pipeline. He is
also writing his autobiography and is a frequent columnist for
the London Evening Standard and Sunday Telegraph magazines. Besides
frequently writing reviews for such publications as The World
of Interiors and The Spectator, Nicky Haslam has been a contributing
editor of British Vogue and Tatler for many years.
