It was a late one last night….and I remember I owed PGT a ‘moonblog‘…by special request.

Following on from my sun blog really - just because!

And because he’s fun to photograph…

Maybe secretly I dream about designing a set like a George Melies film…

or BEING in a George Melies film…

And certainly because this just came up on www.architecturelinked.com!!

A proposal for the ‘crescent moon tower’ - by Transparent Architecture in California. Hmmm maybe NOT - but they’re heart is in the right place I think.

And in the end, Brandt understood, and his mystical views of wartime London ruins as illuminated by moonlight cannot be surpassed.

Were you convinced by my Rose Cummings blog?? or laughing. Either way, I’m forced to say that I neglected to make it out of the wax cycle in the carwash without further mystical channeling’s….this time in the form of Cy Twombly. Oh yes.

My car windows in the wax cycle of the car wash.

…But sometimes I think everything is reminiscent of an interior I once knew…….like the other day as I drove through the carwash. Hmmm……

and then later I came across this Paul Beattie on 1st Dibs……and I KNOW what I’m thinking….(and at the same time I’m thinking I MUST stop thinking everything is about design)

But then when I find this dead lobster carcass on the beach, I just HAVE to say this IS Rose Cummings ‘ugly room’ no??!!!!!!

Colour scheme, even the texture…..verbatim!!!!!!! So amusing.

Okay, so maybe I am officially Jubileed out. But having done the shopping in London and bought everything and anything to do with Her Majesty, I felt it was my duty to share my discoveries back in Toronto. The festivities in town for the event were disappointingly dull, so with address book to hand I invited a few friends over to show ‘em how it’s done.

Firstly, get your garden in tip top shape ready for her Majesty

Mix your drinks carefully

The historical language of flowers is fascinating, I think my guests got the idea
